Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Stryke ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you join our waitlist or use our services. By providing your information, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Stryke, we may collect:

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted service providers (listed in §7) solely to operate the Service and deliver the communications described above, or where required by law.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes in §2:

5. Your Rights & How to Delete Your Data

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time — every marketing message carries an unsubscribe link, and emailing hello@playstryke.com works just as well. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law (for example under UK GDPR or the EU GDPR); contact us to exercise them.

To delete your account: open Settings → Delete account in the app, type DELETE to confirm, and it happens immediately. If you'd rather we did it, or you can no longer sign in, email hello@playstryke.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my data" — we may need to confirm it's really you, and we aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.

One thing is finished by hand shortly after: if you bought something, closing out the record we hold with Stripe. Everything else, including your place on our email list, is deleted by the same action.

What deletion covers: your profile, your sign-in account, the rounds and crews you own, your scores and settlement records, and your entry on our waitlist and email lists. Some information stays behind after a deletion request:

6. Cookies & Analytics

We keep cookies and similar storage to a minimum. We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage so the Service can work — for example keeping you signed in and protecting against spam and abuse (reCAPTCHA). These are always on because the Service can't function without them.

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site and app. Plausible does not set advertising or tracking cookies, does not use your data for cross-site advertising, and anonymizes IP addresses as part of its service. We do not use Google Analytics.

Your choice about analytics. The first time you visit, we ask. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, analytics does not load at all until you accept — rejecting is one click and costs you nothing. Everywhere else, analytics is on by default and you can turn it off from the same panel, which you can reopen any time from the Privacy choices link in the footer. We also honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal: if your browser sends it, we switch analytics off before asking.

Your choice is stored in your browser (not in a cookie sent to us), so it is per-device and clearing site data resets it. You can also visit any Stryke page with ?plausible_ignore=true in the URL, or use a privacy extension that blocks analytics requests.

Our full list of cookies and local storage is in the Cookie Policy.

7. Service Providers We Use

We rely on trusted third parties to operate Stryke. They process data only to provide their service to us:

We do not control these providers' own data practices; please review their respective privacy policies.

8. Your California Privacy Rights

If you live in California, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request a copy of it, to have it corrected or deleted, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of those rights. The categories we collect are listed in §1; we collect them for the purposes in §2 and share them only with the providers in §7.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We run no ad networks and no advertising cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of — but if that ever changes, we will publish an opt-out here before it does.

To exercise any California right, email hello@playstryke.com (see §5). You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of their authority.

9. UK & EEA Users (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, this section applies to you and adds to the rest of this policy. Stryke is the controller of the personal data described here; reach us at hello@playstryke.com.

Why we are allowed to process your data (legal bases):

Your rights. You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or hand it to another provider in a portable format, and you can withdraw any consent you gave. Deletion is self-service in the app (§5); for the rest, email us and we will respond within one month. We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.

Complaints. If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first — but you also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EEA it is the data protection authority for the country you live or work in.

Where your data goes. Stryke runs on Google Cloud and Firebase in the United States, and several of the providers in §7 are US-based. When we move personal data out of the UK or EEA we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where the UK GDPR applies), or on an adequacy decision where one covers the provider. Copies of the relevant terms are available on request.

Automated decisions. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means, and we do not profile you for advertising. Some product features use AI models (§7) to read a scorecard photo or write a round recap; a person is always free to correct or ignore the result.

10. Children's Privacy

Stryke is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above.
